FALL FAIR AMBASSADOR

2009 - 2010 Nadia Graham

As the 2009/2010 Ambassador I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for attending the 150th Annual Fall Fair. This past year has been an exciting one, with many things to look forward too as well.

This fall Elmvale celebrates the 150th year of our spectacular Fall Fair, with the opening of our new barn. This has presented us with many future opportunities for excitement and entertainment.

This time of year is magical, and the Fall Fair is at the heart of the many wonderful traditions we share in this town. Thanks to all of the directors and executive members for keeping this event alive. The Fair means so much to our small community.

For guests and participants in the festival, enjoy this weekend, and all of the excitement it brings forth. I have had a wonderful time representing this great fair over the past year, and encourage any youth to take on this role in the future. Good luck to the contestants, and everyone that entered exhibits. These friendly competitions help to showcase some of Flos' greatest creativity and skill.

The past year has been a delight, as I've travelled to board meetings, district meetings, Conventions and the CNE. The most prestigious of all though, was winning First Prize in the Elmvale Santa Claus Parade, with our Olympic float. Thanks to everyone that has helped to make my reign a wonderful experience.

JUNIOR FAIR AMBASSADOR

2009 - 2010 Cassidy Eames

My name is Cassidy Eames. I am a grade 8 student at Our Lady of Lourdes School. This year I am the 2009 Junior Ambassador for the Elmvale Fall Fair. Doing this has allowed me to learn and participate in many new things. The first thing I was able to do was help by handing out ribbons at the calf show. Cows being my favourite animal, this was very exciting. Another thing that being Junior Ambassador has done is taught me the do’s and don'ts of being polite and how to present myself. When I was being taught this I was told that was the proper way "Ambassadors" should act, but really it is the way everyone should behave. The last thing Junior Ambassador has done for me is it has introduced me to new people. Thank you to everyone who sponsored this competition. Being Junior Ambassador has taught me things I can apply to my life now, and will forever.
