Thank You for a Spectacular 167th Elmvale Fall Fair!

What a weekend! Blue skies, sunshine, and record crowds made this year’s Elmvale Fall Fair one to remember. Our “Wonders of Ontario” theme celebrated everything that makes this province, and this community, such a special place to call home, and it showed everywhere you looked, from the parade floats to the exhibit halls. On behalf of the Flos Agricultural Society, thank you to everyone who came out and helped celebrate one of rural Ontario’s best Thanksgiving traditions.

A Friday to Remember

Friday got off to an unforgettable start. Students from area schools filled the streets of Elmvale for the annual school parade, and the sidewalks were lined with more spectators than many longtime fairgoers can remember. Parents, grandparents, neighbours, and friends packed the parade route from end to end to cheer on the young marchers. Our thanks go to the teachers, school staff, and families who helped make it such a success.

Once the parade was over, the crowd gathered at the Ball Diamond for the Opening Ceremonies. We were honoured to welcome Senator Rob Black, who cut the ribbon to officially open the fair alongside our directors and Fair Ambassadors. The wind was strong, but spirits were high! Senator Black later described the day as one of sunshine, a remarkable parade of 2,700 students, and a huge crowd, and we couldn’t have put it better. Thank you, Senator, for joining us and for your ongoing support of agriculture and rural communities.

With Gratitude

A fair of this size only happens when a whole community pulls together. We are especially grateful to:

Our visitors, whether this was your first fair or your fiftieth. Your enthusiasm filled the fairgrounds all weekend long.

Our exhibitors, whose livestock, homecraft, baking, produce, and agricultural entries showcased the skill and hard work that keep fair traditions alive.

Our sponsors and donors, whose generosity makes it possible to keep the fair affordable, welcoming, and growing every year.

Our vendors, who kept everyone fed and offered something for every shopper.

Our members, directors, and volunteers, who give countless hours before, during, and after the fair. We simply could not do this without you.

Our Fair Ambassadors and Junior Directors, who represented the fair with pride and energy throughout the weekend.

Our service clubs and community organizations, who pitched in wherever they were needed.

The Police, Emergency Services, and the Township of Springwater and its staff, whose care and professionalism kept the fair safe and running smoothly for thousands of visitors.

Our suppliers and business partners, whose behind-the-scenes work helped bring everything together.

Until Next Year

Great weather helps, but it’s the people who make the Elmvale Fall Fair what it is. Thank you for another wonderful year of parades, exhibits, animals, rides, music, and time spent with family and friends.
