Ambassador Program

Eligibility: The contest is open to any person 15 years of age and older.

Judging: This year’s contest will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at Bounce Back Physio in Elmvale. This will be a gathering where participants enjoy fellowship with committee members, Fair Board members, previous Ambassadors and this year’s judges over light refreshments. Each contestant will have an interview with the panel of judges. After the interviews, participants will introduce themselves in front of the audience, answer an impromptu question, and deliver a 3–5 minute speech on the topic of their choice. The Ambassador and Runner-Ups will be announced at the conclusion of the event, allowing them to enjoy the week leading up to and including the Fair weekend — riding in both Friday and Saturday parades, bringing greetings, handing out ribbons, greeting fairgoers, and enjoying the Fair while representing the Flos Agricultural Society.

Duties: The Senior Fair Ambassador will attend a number of events following the Fair weekend, including but not limited to: the O.A.A.S. District 5 Meeting (October), the Elmvale Santa Claus Parade (December), the Provincial (3-day) O.A.A.S. Convention (February), the O.A.A.S. District 5 Ambassador Program (June), and the CNE Ambassador of the Fairs Competition (August; must be 18 by beginning of August to be eligible). Each participant receives a cash prize.
