It is that time of year again, the 160th Elmvale Fall Fair is Thanksgiving weekend and we are looking for participants to be a part of the Senior Ambassador and Junior Ambassador Competitions. Take advantage of this great opportunity if you are interested in public speaking, meeting new people, representing the community and trying new things.

Senior Ambassador

Eligibility: The contest is open to any person 15 years of age and older.

Judging: This year’s contest will be held on Sunday October 2, 2022. This will be a gathering where participants will enjoy some fellowship with each other, committee members, members from the fair board, the previous ambassadors and this year’s judges over some light refreshments. Each contestant will have an interview with the panel of judges. After the interviews the participants will introduce themselves in front of the audience, answer an impromptu question and deliver a 3-5-minute speech on the topic of their choice.  An audience will be encouraged to listen to the impromptu speeches as well as the prepared speeches. The Ambassador and Runner-Ups will be announced at the conclusion of the event. This will allow them to enjoy a whole week leading up to and including a fun-filled weekend at the fair.
