Sheep Show – Friday, October 9th, 2026 | 12 pm

The Committee reserves the right to adjust classes to balance the show.

Note: Premises ID #ON4211211

  • Animals showing any evidence of communicable/contagious disease are NOT eligible for exhibition and will be refused entry.
  • All sheep/lambs must bear CSIP RFID tags.
  • All sheep properly docked, per Sheep Assoc. Standards.
  • Sheep must be clean, neat, and fitted prior to the show.
  • Limit of 2 animals per class, per exhibitor.

Class 16: Youth Showmanship (starting at 12 pm)

Prizes: 1st – $25 | 2nd – $23 | 3rd – $20 | 4th – $18 | 5th – $17 | 6th – $16 | 7th – $15 | all others $10

  1. Open to exhibitors ages 9–15, as of Jan 1, 2026
  2. Open to exhibitors ages 15–21, as of Jan 1, 2026
  3. Youth Market lamb, born 2026 (all breeds), open to exhibitors 9–21 years, entry male or female

Class 17–20 (breed groups)

  • Class 17: Dorset, North Country Cheviot, Southdown
  • Class 18: Hampshire, Oxford, Suffolk
  • Class 19: Dorper, Texels, Ile de France, Charollais
  • Class 20: Long Wool, any other breeds

Class 22: Overall Grand Champion Get-of-Sire

Sponsored by North Simcoe Veterinary Services, Prize: $50. Reserve – sponsored by Grand Valley Fortifiers: $45

Get of Sire: Group of three (3) animals, full mouth milk teeth, by the same sire. Both sexes may be represented; all one breed.

Class 23: Overall Grand Champion Breeders’ Flock — Jim Lambie Memorial Award

Prize: $75. Breeders Flock, bred & owned by exhibitor. Group of four (4) animals, both sexes represented, each animal shown in a preceding section, all one breed (one entry per exhibitor).

General Rules and Regulation

Each exhibitor, upon arriving on the grounds, must apply to the Committee in charge, who will inform the exhibitor where the animals or articles are to be placed.

Judging Standards

Our local Committee members do not judge at our Fair. The Society hires and pays for qualified and impartial judges.
